YouTube fame through LHC rap video

Kate McAlpine is proving that a degree in physics from Michigan State University can be a springboard for a wide range of careers. Currently the 23 year old is employed as a science writer at the international particle physics laboratory CERN in Switzerland. And now she can also add "rap artist" to her list of career accomplishments. Her newest creation, produced under her tongue-in-cheek pseudonym "Alpinekat", is rapidly becoming a smash hit on YouTube, with the number of views approaching a million.
