Quantitative Biology and Modeling Introduction, October 13, 2004

An Introduction to the Quantitative Biology and Modeling Initiative was held in the Biomedical and Physical Sciences Building on the campus of Michigan State University. There was a brief overview presentation about the QBMI programs and some of QBMI's new interdisciplinary research projects, as well as suggested ways that members of the MSU community can participate. This year's graduate research awardees, who are receiving support from QBMI, were also introduced.

Biological Networks Symposium and Annual Retreat - October 17-18, 2003

The Biological Networks Symposium featured MSU and extramural speakers. Following the talks, there were research poster presentations by research awardees, graduate students and faculty from the University of Michigan, Northwestern University, and Michigan State University. This workshop was organized by Marianne Huebner (huebner@stt.msu.edu), Statistics and Probability; Christina Chan (krischan@egr.msu.edu), Chemical Engineering; and Gerald Maggiora, Pharmacia.

The workshop was followed by the CBM Retreat on Saturday, October 18, featuring scientific research talks from CBM's External Board of Advisors at the Kellogg Center.

    CBM Spring Symposium - June 10, 2002

    The Spring Symposium was held on the campus of Michigan State University in the new Biomedical and Physical Sciences Building.

    The primary focus of the symposium was to foster new interactions between MSU faculty researchers with biological interests and current CBM members.
